Dr Thomas Cardiology , One of the BEST Doctors appointments I have had regarding chest issues that I have dealt with for many many year. He took the time to go over all my medical charts for the past 10+ years. Had a great exam and I have a better direction on where to go with my health issues. So Glad Dr Thomas joined the team, best replacement Doctor ever.

They do not know how to properly evaluate for aortic aneurysm and allowed my friend to be sent home with a ticking time bomb in her chest. She returned to the hospital a second time, still in terrible pain, only to predictably dissect and die. Her symptoms were textbook. She was such a special and wonderful human and our world is so much worse without her. I wish hospitals treated everyone like they were treating family, because she was someone’s family.

I'm a bit of character so staff had their own special challenges with me😆Surgey team did what they should and all is working out, if you stay a overnight even day your room will change quite a bit as staff so it's hard for them to know you sometimes. With that being said my stay was positive special shout out to Karen, I just needed a little nap🤣

One surgery—two horror stories. First, they told me the surgery would be a little over an hour. At hour 3, they hadn’t given me an update, so I just assumed my wife was dead and that they were just gathering the lawyers to inform me. Fortunately, she was alive, but the surgery was complicated. But what’s wrong with giving an update to the husband? The second story was when the hospital accountant came in to see us while my wife was in recovery. She was watching my wife dry-heaving from pain while she talked to us. She said, “Her Medicare doesn’t cover all her meds. If you don’t sign this paper, we can’t give her anymore medication.” SHE SAID THIS WHILE WATCHING MY WIFE DRY-HEAVING FROM PAIN! That’s some stuff that organized crime would do. Unbelievable.

Short version. I went to the hospital in liver failure. They asked me about my alcohol use. I was honest. I would drink casually but not to excess. Doctor called me a liar. Outright to my face and to my family. They did not do tests for alcohol or anything. Simple judgement. Liver failure? Alcoholic. Transferred to UW for treatment. Need a transplant. Alcoholic on my file from Aspirus. The doctor didn’t put down my answers, she put down her judgement. You must be sober for 6 months to get a transplant. Now I have to prove to UW that Aspirus was inept and falsely diagnosed me based on judgment alone. Not on facts. UW does the appropriate tests and determines that Aspirus has not done their job correctly. Rediagnosed. Diagnosed with a genetic condition leading to liver failure. Trans
