Ashland Elite Dental

I unfortunately have to base this on my most recent experience. Usually it is a great place to go for simple procedures, cleanings and exams. However last week I got a root canal done with Dr. Tang. This is my second root canal so I know approximately how long they should take. He finished in about a quarter of that time. Everything felt VERY rushed and unprofessional. As I’m in the chair and he is working on me he is yelling out to an assistant to get the next patient ready, We weren’t even 10 minutes into the procedure. Then the temporary filling he gave me looks like it was done by a kid. For the amount of money that a root canal cost you should feel like you are the only thing on the DR’s mind and that did not happen here. I had a wonderful experience at Ashland Elite Dental! Dr. Fatima Baharoun, DMD is an exceptionally skilled and cooperative dentist. At my request, she resolved my issue in just one sitting, even though it usually requires multiple visits. I’m truly grateful for her expertise, efficiency, and care. Special thanks to Claudineia, the Office Manager, for her excellent cooperation in preparing a quote for my next visit, and for patiently explaining everything in detail. Also, my appreciation to Ashley at the Front Desk for arranging my appointment smoothly, and maintaining such polite and gentle follow-ups. I never leave negative reviews but feel compelled to share my experience. If you have dental anxiety I do not recommend this office. Dr Tang’s exam was painful, rushed, and inadequate. He recommended treatment without proper imaging or equipment to do a proper exam. When I asked how he could recommend this treatment without a microscope or CT scan (something my general dentist requested he do as part of his exam), he seemed annoyed and said “I don’t know. I don’t have that equipment, I can refer you somewhere else.” He would’ve done the procedure had I not questioned him! I sought a second opinion on my own and would recommend anyone considering him to do so as well. The equipment that he used had wet packs (moisture), and the office itself didn’t look the cleanest. I had a fear of going to the dentist for a long time. Ashland Elite Dental cured that fear and all of the issues with my teeth. I HIGHLY recommend them. My experience was perfect. My thanks goes to everyone that works there. You are the best!
