I brought my parents there yesterday to go over my mom's MRI results and it was a painful experience for me because seeing my mother's cognitive decline is hard! Sarah the nurse that too my mom's vitals was so patient with her and made it so that my dad and I could be in the same room with her to make her comfy. Dr. Starr was amazing with her and just asked her normal questions with patience and compassion. He explained everything to us and shows us the MRI and what were the concerns. Jordan at the check in desk was also amazing! She was so kind to me (I was the only one that interacted with her) but as we waited for Dr. Starr to send the blood test orders she was kind and kept the waiting to a minimum as well kept a sense of humor that lightened everything. Horrible, unkind, uncaring, and rude practice. I used to be a patient here for years and they didn't tell me Dr. Fecko was leaving until the day before my appointment. I had to find a new neurologist and a new sleep doctor since Robertson left also. Fast-forward to now and my most recent neurologist left my insurance. I have a new concerning nerve issue going on that came on suddenly and limited providers in network so my primary at Appledore referred me back to Appledore neurology and told me they have a new neuro coming on this month and to call in a few days if I don't hear anything to get on their schedule. I would leave less than 1 star if I could. Don't bother calling this place or having your Dr. send a referral. We got a referral from my husbands Dr. on Aug 18 with STAT to set up an appointment with a Neurologist. Granted they had to send the referral back on the 20th for more information but on the 25th they had everything they needed. I called to book the appt on the 25th, which was a Monday, and they told me they only book referral appointments on Thursday and Fridays. Needless to say they never called me on Thursday or Friday to book the appointment. Over the past 2 weeks I have left 5 messages with their answering service (nobody actually answers the phone during working hours which is very strange) and nobody has called me back to booth this urgent appointment. This place was great 5 years ago in 2018/19 but has since completely gone right down the drain. My wife had a stroke in 2018 and the doctor we had here was amazing (Zach L.) After he left and moved on, everything started going down hill. We have tried to get appointments and got no response. We've called to ask questions with no response at all. We've tried to get prescriptions refilled, again with no response. Our pharmacy has tried to reach out with no response. After a stroke and brain surgery, the meds my wife are on right now, are vital to her daily existence. Update 5/14: 3 months later. I never received the documents from Angela or Megan and have been waiting 3 months for them. I called the office today and have been on hold for 20-minutes. The phone line continued to say there were zero callers ahead of me. To whomever receives this review at Appledore, I would really appreciate someone to contact me. Update 2/19: Angela and Megan (both of the managers) were supposed to call me this afternoon. Never got a call back. I am not the type of person to write a negative review, but I truly cannot believe the way the office staff spoke to me. I hope that one day the front desk staff and/or employees are able to find care and compassion for the patients who need assistance.
