Appledore Family Medicine and Pediatrics - Portsmouth

I don’t know what is going on in this office. I've been a patient for more than 5 years with this practice. However, there is a problem; there is a big change with medical and office staff. Most likely your doctor will be a student and not an MD. The office staff needs to communicate better with the patients and among themselves. I went to an appointment. The doctor wanted me to start a new medication the same day. However, the prescription was never sent to the pharmacy. Then I called the office twice, and they gave me two different answers, and I’m still waiting for the prescription. This is an ongoing issue with this doctor's office. I would like to give a big shout out to Dr. Harker, who has been my PCP for many years. I feel well taken care of with him, and he has always taken plenty of time to listen to my health concerns and explain treatment options and such in detail. Practice staff is very friendly and helpful, too, and I rarely experienced wait times longer than 10 minutes.

Due to new insurance I had to switch my primary care and I had some anxiety about that because I had a good rapport with my previous PCP. However, Dr. Bell, her MA and receptionist were all very kind and ready to get along with. I also found everyone to be very thorough in gathering Healthcare information. I highly recommend Appledore.

I had a good appointment with my provider today. There was no waiting time which is always awesome. The office staff was courteous and efficient. I wish I could remember the name of your staff member that checked me out. I've had her a couple times now...she is very good at her job, professional and knowledgeable. I also really liked Dr. Lilly. I had never met her before. She was good at explaining things, very efficient and was very nice. Also, Dr. Lilly's assistant was very good at her job, she knew what she was doing. Communication with everyone was clear and concise. I had an overall great visit today at Appledore.

Severing ties with Appledore today. Absolutely most ridiculous place I've ever used. I wish this place had not have come recommend to us. Four years of using them and not once have i ever been able to make a sick appointment for my kids. They tell me the doctors are on vacation and they can't see my kid who is actively throwing up for 4 weeks. Why would we book an appointment for someone who is sick now, in the moment, for FOUR WEEKS OUT? So sick of this place. When I called this morning I asked her several times if any appointments were available today. She just kept telling me that she was looking and that 3 doctors are out on vacation. Not my problem. Instead of answering me she just kept me on the phone and FINALLY TOLD ME THAT FEBRUARY 10TH IS THE SOONEST FOR A SICK APPOINTMENT. Yea,
