Amherst Pharmacy

After giving this pharmacy a chance to earn my business, I have happily moved all of my prescriptions there. Although a small place, they have a stunning range of medications in stock; anything they don't have, they acquire rapidly, most often within one day. Most of all, the service is friendly, personable, helpful, informative, and thorough. Every problem (e.g., with insurance company responses) is handled on my behalf. Refills are performed with unmatched speed -- often less than 10 minutes. The feel is neighborly, making visits a pleasure. I couldn't ask for better.

Brad is your local and trusted Pharmacist and he will do what it takes to satisfy your health and beauty needs. He's quick to put new items on the shelf when requests come in. So great to buy nail polish and make up without having to leave The Mill District. So happy Brad and North Amherst Pharmacy are our new neighbors!!

I love the IDEA of an independent pharmacy. They are small and easy to get to and try to be helpful.... But they never had my prescription in stock, they never called me if it came in, never called if they told me it would be in Monday and it wasn't. After too many back and forth phone calls and trips every month, I switched to cvs and miraculously my prescription is ready several hours after my doctor sends it and I can even go right through the drive through... I wish I could give a better review because I hate cvs on principle... But

I now use Amherst Pharmacy for all my medication needs. There is little to no waiting time - unlike the huge pharmacy chains. Staff is friendly and professional. Most importantly, I have access to the pharmacist who is very knowledgable and has time to answer my questions.

The pharmacist/owner couldn't be friendlier or more accommodating. They seem to be able to do everything other pharmacies can do ... except the hours. It's 9-5, which is the hours I work. But if you call in they will open a bit early or stay a bit late so you can get it outside work hours. Or, you can wait for their Saturday hours.
