AMG Specialty Hospital

I have read some of the not so good reviews and experiences when the hospital was Acuity, however my experience with AMG was amazing. I arrived at the facility after five surgeries with an open wound and a wound vac. Immediately after arriving the staff was very hard at work getting me settled in. All staff went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met. I was a difficult patient for various reasons and the nurses had so much patience with me. Thank you Lamont for all the assurance that you gave me. I wish I could name all the nurses but there are too many to name. From intake staff to therapy staff to kitchen and housekeeping staff, they were all top notch. I would highly recommend any one that needs special care after a hospital stay to go to AMG. My mother was transferred to amg and has been there for a month now. At first I was scared not knowing what to expect. Will they take care of my mom?? Will they mistreat her?? Will they be like all other hospitals we been to and are in it just for the paycheck?? So many things running through my mind... I showed up 2 days later to see her and was very anxious. To my amazement my mom was in great spirits. She just had this glow to her. As days and weeks past I slowly saw the life of my mom come back and she was doing better than ever. I got to know each and every person who worked there, they are very amazing people and I love each and everyone one of them. They have done the most amazing job with her and I feel safe and at peace leaving her there while I'm an hour and a half away. I don'

My mother, Estela, was an inpatient at Acuity for over one month in August and September 2017. She received excellent care while she was there. All of nurses (there are so many to name), respiratory therapists, and Andrea from physical therapy were all fantastic and very caring. Even the people from administration were very helpful. Thank you so much Acuity for the outstanding five star care.

This hospital doesn't even deserve half a star!!! They left my grandmother go almost a week without eating!!! They managed to knockout 2 of her teeth!!! When we brought the "not eating" to doctors/nurses attention nothing was done. My grandmother was basically thrown in a room to die. Horrible bed sores bandages left days with out cleaning!!! The "therapy" she was suppose to receive there NOPE DIDNT HAPPEN!! Thank God i was able to take her out alive. Just awful awful experience!! PLEASE PLEASE stay away.!!

Terrible care from majority of their doctors and nurses. Of course some are exceptions because they did care enough to inform us of the status while my grandmother was there but other than that the case worker was a nightmare to deal with and so were some of their employees. One doctor would give us and their nurses inaccurate information so we were lost on progress until we met a doctor that ACTUALLY cared enough to tell us the truth. Once she arrived she contracted a disease and they tried to blame it on the hospital she arrived from which was INSANE since she was in much better health upon her arrival. They are careless, insensitive, and disrespectful towards their patients and families.
