AMG Specialty Hospital - Northwest Indiana

AMG has a clean facility and a staff that is genuinely helpful and caring. Overall, my stay was great. Therapy was a bit of a hit or miss at times with my family but it didn’t take away too much from the experience. A special shoutout to **Yeitmy**, who was amazing and incredibly helpful, especially when it came to navigating language barriers. I really appreciated the extra care.

My brother is a patient here and soon as I walked in the place was spotless, clear halls, clean floors. whoever is in housekeeping does a good Job doesn’t smell bad at all. Rooms are very spacious, workers are very interactive I see. The lady that was taking care of him at the time Tina I believe was her name was very caring and catered to his need. He needed help with his insurance Information and Netta from admissions helped him with that so he could get a better understanding . Who ever has taken Over is doing great things. I used to come here as an EMT and it’s a big change. I would choose this place again for anyone I know.

DEATH ZONE Please 🙏 be careful when sending your loved one to a facility.. do your research and definitely do a walk through without letting the facility know you are coming.. my family had my mother brought here and shame on us for not following our doubts.. mom was here for 11 days .. she had 2 major surgeries on her abdominal within a week .. she was excepted at this facility for rehab and more wound healing.. the wound has to heal from inside to out.. there is only 1 doctor onsite .. Dr Streeter , he cleaned my mom’s wound that 1st week she was there and then left for vacation.. mom had no one cleaning her wound, Dr Streeter assistant did come in twice and said they would clean the next day .. no one ever did.. My best friend had open-heart surgery at university Chicago and there were some complications with him getting off the ventilator. University of Chicago gave three options, AMG specialty hospital was one of them. After going there and reviewing the facility, it was clear he needed to go there. The care he received there was exceptional. The attention to detail, communication, and professionalism was outstanding. I would highly recommend anybody sending their loved ones, Relatives, friends to AMG specialty hospital in Crown Point Indiana.

My mother was admitted from August 12 to September 4, 2025 to AMG Specialty Hospital in Crown Point for recovery from a blood infection. She is completely ambulatory. The care she received was outstanding. The facility was immaculate and smelled freshly cleaned every day I visited, no matter the hour. My mother also remarked on how thoroughly her room was cleaned daily. The staff—case managers, doctors, physical therapists, nurses, aides, receptionists, maintenance staff and others—were so compassionate, attentive, and constantly checked on her comfort while helping her regain strength. Thanks to their dedication, mom was able to transfer to a skilled nursing facility in much better health. I highly recommend AMG Specialty Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness.
