Alta Vista Dental

Went because I’d been having tooth pain for an about a month. After the tech took X-rays, dentist walked in without saying anything to me. Stood behind me for 5 minutes without talking. Finally sat down to do an exam, again no introduction. Was told minimal information but that I had at least 4 cavities and a cracked crown that needed to be repaired. The front desk worker who was more helpful than the dentist gave me a list of $2000 worth of work that needed to be completed. I had a gut feeling from the second I walked in here that something was off. Requested xrays - they were never emailed to me. I had to go in and get a printed copy of my X-rays which was barely readable. Wrote down my email again for the X-rays to be sent to me and another dentist office- never received them. After

When I had medi-cal coverage I went to the dentist at Alta Vista. The care was OK with not the best service, however, when I canceled appointment, I would keep getting reminders. I would then keep calling them to check on the cancellation and they would confirm and I still received reminders. This is frustrating.

I’m so grateful for this place! Alta Vista Dental is such a blessing, I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 15 years because I have PTSD from root canals as a kid and I was extremely scared, but after getting taken care of so professionally, and so politely, they have literally helped me overcome my fear of the dentist. I am so grateful they are so professional and so kind. They truly listen to you and help you anyway they can. The fact that they take Medi-Cal is a huge blessing and I would recommend them to somebody who truly is scared but needs dental work. They will really help you get over your fear of having to go to the dentist. I’m so grateful for every single person in the office from the receptionist to the dentist and everyone in between. Very friendly staff clean office go above and beyond to help get insurance coverage, and takes Medi-Cal

Had a crown done here. I arrived for the first appointment on time and waited more than 45 minutes before they even looked in my mouth. The work was good and the staff was courteous but I was there for 2.5 hours for maybe 25 minutes of actual dental work. The appointment to get the permanent crown has me waiting 45 minutes again and I got to see the new crown which looks great but still have yet to see the dentist.
