Agawam South Rehab And Nursing

I am NOT impressed with this facility at all. Some of the nurses are rude and cant be bothered to take care of their patients. My aunt was sent there 2 weeks ago and as of today I was finally able to get her phone and cable fixed... 2 weeks of complaining and nothing! They had a new phone system put in and it does not work correctly so for the past 2 weeks I am not able to reach a nurse AT ALL! I cant even begin to tell you how extremely infuriating it is to NOT be able to know how your loved one is doing. I cant even get a nurse on the phone to see how she is b/c her phone was not working. Then to top things off, she has fallen 3 times since she has been there and no one has done anything about it. I have left messages for several people and to no avail, I never heard back. I have

If you have a loved one staying here for rehab please keep an eye on everything involving their care! The physical therapist does a great job and there are a couple nice people on staff and that is the only reason for the second star. The rest of the facility leaves a lot to be desired. The room they put my Dad in is dirty, chipping paint everywhere, beat up furniture, and rusted baseboard heating covers that are not even on correctly being held in place with screws. The bathroom in his room is extremely dated, not big enough for a wheelchair, and the toilet is not set up well for the handicapped. There is no way he can use the bathroom with his wheelchair and the staff takes too long to get to him most of the time to assist and then they wonder why they have to clean him up from an accide

The staff were wonderful. The food was so bad to be inedible. My husband lost 40 lbs in 6 weeks. They do not have enough staff and resources to do their jobs to the best of their ability.

I have been here for several months because I had to have my left foot amputated. I have made many friends here, but my goal is to go home and back to work. The staff on therapy are excellent working with me to get me ready for my new leg. Activities I have spent many hours of fun activities, bingo, movies and even worship. I been to gospel, catholic and protestant services. The food here is great Don the chef and Kathy from the dining room. If you or someone you love needs this type of place I would recommend that you come to Heritage Hall South. I will come back to visit, too many friends who I am going to miss.

My mother lived at Heritage Hall South for 1 1/2 years before passing away on 12/25/19. She struggled with severe dementia. I cannot say enough how great the whole staff was. They were very loving and compassionate with Mom and very supportive with me. She really enjoyed the meals and the activities (bingo, daily chronicle concerts). I will forever be grateful.
