AFC Urgent Care Bon Secours - Mauldin

Everyone was very nice. The staff that swabbed my nose for testing for the flu and Covid were very friendly and gentle. But I wasn’t seen for over 30 minutes after the time I scheduled to be seen, which was a little frustrating because they didn’t give me any idea of how long I would be waiting. Otherwise a good visit and I would go there again.

I feel like I paid a $50 copay just for the doctor to have already have made up in his mind that there was nothing he could do for me before he even entered my exam room. I heard him talking with his medical assistant saying as much and when he entered my room he asked me "what is it that I'd be able to do that no one else has been able to do or figure out?" I felt quite discouraged about my pain and being able to be heard and get any type of relief. I left on the verge of tears.

Jason,P A. gave great treatment. He is extremely knowledgable and is an excellent communicator. He had to work with us for 2 5 hours past his finish time because he had to wait to get a report from a radiologist. He was patient and kept us informed about what was happening. Thanks for having him available to serve us so well

Only two people in the waiting room when my wife arrived. They are taken back shortly after. After 45 minutes of my wife being there I decided to drive up there to see what’s taking so long. I walk in she is the only one sitting there. Fast forward an hour and 15 minutes later my wife goes and ask how much longer it will be. She says there is an emergency and doesn’t know. So everyone that works here is just working on one person? I hope no one comes in with another emergency because you might not be seen. I understand there are emergency but everyone working at this office is just taking care of one patient? Doesn’t make any sense. I just went to another urgent care with a packed waiting room and was seen in less than a hour so very confusing.

I was able to make an appointment online & was seen promptly. I already knew what the problem was & needed to start on the medication quickly to prevent it from worsening. The PA prescribed the meds & ordered it from CVS, although it was the wrong one. Once I got to the correct pharmacy a few miles away, I was able to get the prescriptions plus a couple of OTC items & was on my way home to take the meds. I am feeling better, already.
