ABCD Pediatrics - Stone Oak

Got there at 10:10 for a 10:15 appointment with my 2 year old child for fever, cough, and congestion. The check in process and getting us back there was pretty routine and done in a timely manner. We waited approximately 45 minutes to an hour in the room when I went up to the front desk to let them know we’re still waiting and no doctor has come yet, when I was that they do take a while and to keep waiting in the room rather dismissively. At that time I noticed another father who came in after me with 2 kids both seeing the doctor checking out. About another 10 minutes later Laurie who was a back office lead (I think that’s her name and title) came into the room and said the front desk had checked you out when you stepped to your car so the doctor was not aware you are still waiting. This was a first appointment. We were able to get an appointment for my grandchild quickly, and the doctor was terrific. He listened, asked the right questions, came up with a good treatment plan, made it clear what the expected outcome should be, and stressed we should contact him if there were any problems. We feel confident in this practice.

We love this office they’re always so nice and helpful, especially Dr. Rosado and Brandy. They are very personable and really make us feel like family. We’ve been coming to them since my first son was 5 days old, he’s now a year and a half and a 4 month old baby brother who they take great care of and make sure they are comfortable especially when they get their shots

We’ve been coming to ABCD Pediatrics (Stone Oak) since we brought our son home from the NICU 5+ years ago. We’ve seen providers come and go during that time and while our overall experience has always been generally positive, there are some standout individuals that have made ALL the difference these last couple years. Firstly, the ladies up front always greet our kiddo by name and are genuinely kind and considerate with him and us on every occasion. When they see him coming they know that he’s all about the train and they are so gracious about turning it on for him. As a parent who has taken my children to New Braunfels Pediatrics for nearly 20 years, I’m deeply disappointed with the changes under the new ownership. The AI prompts before reaching a live person are frustrating, and the fact that you cannot speak to anyone after 5 PM is alarming for a pediatric practice. Recently, my son was prescribed a medication dosage that was higher than what an adult would typically receive. We had just left the office when the pharmacy caught the error and contacted us. When we called the after-hours service, we were told there were “no on-call doctors” and that it could take up to 24 hours before anyone would even see the message. A sick child being unable to start medication due to a prescribing error should be treated as urgent. Thankfully, the pharmacy was
