WVU Medicine Urgent Care

Avoid if medically possible. The new location is horrible. The receptionist has her food on the reception desk. She could not be bothered with intake as her cell phone call was her first priority. Referred to herself as Grandma and gave dietary advice on her personal call. Once we got into a room - you can hear every breath in the room beside you. There is absolutely zero patient privacy. This is an abomination considering the former location still shows as the end point in GPS because they haven’t updated the new address. Without a doubt, I will go to another facility in the future.

They have moved locations from the tall grey building to across the street in the light colored brick building. We waited about an hour, 15 minutes on a Monday after lunch. Seats in the waiting area were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The nursing staff were exceptionally helpful and went above and beyond, especially Kerry. She helped my wheel chair bound, incontinent relative in the bathroom to try and get a urine sample and even doing her best to clean her up from other problems. They were exceptionally kind and patient bringing cups of water and coffee while we waited three hours for her to give the urine sample. For possible UTIs, the doctor will not prescribe antibiotic without a urine sample and they cannot do catheterizations at the urgent care. You would need to go to t

Brought my daughter here because she was sick. She was triaged by the nurse that noticed she was wheezing. The nurse immediately got a provider and they started a neb treatment. They quickly took care of the problem with no wait!

Had to take my husband there last night for possible lime disease. They were great. From the front desk to the nurses and the doctor they were wonderful. They listened to us when we talked. They were very friendly especially since we showed up a half hour before closing.

Very disappointed in the care here. Earlier this week during the snow storm our daughter became ill. We tried this facility as it was much closer than her primary care. Her entire visit was less than 10 minutes and the exam was practically non existent. We were sent away with no answers. She did not improve so the following day we took her to her primary care doctor. Turns out she has a double ear infection, sinus infection and strep. I would give zero stars if I could.
