Windward Urgent Care

I had a really bad pain and it took 30 minutes ro do everything and get my prescription. So grateful! Dr Miscovich

My husband hit his head on a tree branch while we were hiking nearby, and we came to Windward Urgent Care with his hat soaked in blood. We were stressed and worried, the lady at the front desk was calm, kind and friendly. The doctor gently cleaned the wound, checked it thoroughly, and applied a bandage, told us these are only scratches, no further check is necessary, we didn’t even need to pay! Coming from Europe, I know how commercial healthcare in the U.S. can be, so this act of compassion and humanity genuinely moved us. It reminded us of the very best of Hawaiʻi — kindness, community, and care for one another. Mahalo from the bottom of our hearts. We’ll never forget your generosity and aloha.

Only giving one star because I am forced to. Yesterday 10/6 we took my son to the Urgent because he had a fever for a couple days, but woke up crying 10/6 due to his ear hurting. We were seen pretty quickly, however, we were given antibiotics but told to it was a bacterial infection and to wait 10 days. If the fever is still there after 10 days then to start the antibiotics. They looked at his ear and told us nothing was wrong with it. This didn't seem right to me. He complained about his ear throughout the day. Well 10/7 he woke up again in pain crying because of his ear again. I made an appt with his pediatrician since it was Monday and they were open. I explained to him what we were told by Urgent Care. I had a very, very positive experience starting from the check-in process and through both the nurse’s assessment and the doctor’s examination. Everyone at this Urgent Care was kind, professional, and took their time to help me. I felt very welcomed from the beginning by Jamie when checking-in and was quickly directed to an examination room. I was surprised it happened so fast! There I received a very thorough nurse’s assessment by Jelly. She made me feel very comfortable and was very attentive. This was followed by a lengthy doctor’s check up by Alika going over all my symptoms and trying to get to the bottom of what illness I have. She was thorough, compassionate, and patient with my questions. Every question was answered and/or researched in the exam room and I left feeling better as we

Heartless. I'm honestly shocked the woman working at the front desk is allowed to work in healthcare. She had no compassion and was rude. I was crying with a limb child in my arms asking to see the doctor (there was 30 min before closing and NOBODY in the waiting room) and she told me we couldn't be seen because there was already a patient in the back. She went on to describe the severity of that child's lacerations and wounds (which I think breaks HIPPA??) She obviously just wanted to make sure they were out the door by 7pm. I pray the child in the back was getting better care than was offered to us
