This is not a patient centric doctor. There is one employee working for this doctor who usurps the practice and this doctor is unaware and too disinterested to take notice, much more take affirmative action to speak to and train the assistant to ensure the patient receives the quality care the facility represents it provides. It is a red flag to encounter interference and frustration from a doctor's employee. It suits the doctor too well to be relieved of his duties. Merely a chat with this assistant that consists of speculation and is redundant for the patient, produces a submitted claim of making moderate level decision making, despite resembling nothing like decision making. My son and I both had surgery with Dr. Ricci. He is intelligent, knowledgeable and skilled. I would have no problem referring anyone to him. He answers all questions patiently and respectfully. His team is great, too! My son had a very tricky surgery and was able time continue to compete again at Division 1 level in college. This could have been a sports-career ending surgery in the wrong hands. Thank goodness for Dr. Ricci and his wonderful staff!

Dr. Ricci and his team did my surgery back in October of 2023. They were available to adress all my questions and concerns before and after surgery. They did an excellent job and I am grateful for their skills and expertise.

I had a bad broken left clavicle that I went to two other orthopedic doctors for opinions. Dr. Ricci was my third and final. Levels above the rest in knowledge and direction. I am now four months post surgery and couldn’t have healed better. If you are able to get in with Dr. Ricci take it because you will not get a better surgeon on the East coast. I have just read other reviews on here about personality and bedside manor. At the end of the day, would you rather the best orthopedic surgeon around operate on you or a mediocre surgeon with personality. By the way, Dr. Ricci was very serious, knowledgeable and right to the point. As I would want my surgeon to be. 10/10 on my experience.

My wife suffered a displaced distal femur fx in June 2023. Emergency surgery was performed the next day at our local hospital in Bucks County, PA by an experienced orthopedic surgeon to set the fx and secure it with a plate and screws. She was moved to a nursing facility for 3 weeks and required to be non-weight bearing for 10 weeks. After 9 months the fx still did not heal. At the urging of family in NY we requested records be set to Dr. Ricci. Dr. Ricci agreed to see her at HSS and recommended additional surgery by him and his team to repair the "non-union fx". Surgery was performed last week (5 hours in the OR) and my wife was on her feet with the use of a walker the next day! We were home after 3 days.
