Willamette Dental - Vancouver Mill Plain

I felt the hygienist and dentist were efficient, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. My rating of only a three has to do with how I was treated when I entered the facility. The receptionist had her back to me the entire time while she chatted with one of the hygienist. It seemed personal because at times they would lower their voice I stood patiently for over three minutes before waving my arms to get their attention. I felt common courtesy would have dictated someone keeping an eye on the entrance point and at least acknowledging that I would be assisted shortly. I understand medical offices are shorthanded, and that they work hard but a kind word acknowledging the need for patience would’ve gone over quite well with me.

I scheduled an appointment for a broken tooth on my denture. I arrived 15 minutes early and was ushered in at exactly the appointment time. All the technicians were courteous and professional. My denture was taken by courier and returned the next day. Very satisfied.

It was a mixed bag. The actual dental care and interactions with the dentist, hygienist, and dental assistant were all wonderful. I would've gone back there. However, the surprise came when I was leaving. I was a cash pay patient, and I had inquired days prior by calling their billing department as to how much I might expect the bill to be. I never received a clear answer, just a ball park figure. I know they have a price list, but it was not offered to me. Upon arriving, they took $290 deposit from my credit card. The woman I spoke to from billing, finally conceded and gave me a ballpark of around $249, depending on what they find and end up having to do at the actual appointment. I was having no issues, and just wanted a cleaning, and exam. I walked out of there after paying $515. There

Dr. Morrison is by far the best dentist I've ever been to. He's kind honest gentle and gives you a clear picture of what's going on. I highly recommend him and his office staff too.

I have had not the best dental experiences in my life and shelled out thousands to come away feeling terrible about my smile. The Mill Plain office staff are truly remarkable, consistently exhibiting empathy, kindness, knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy, which makes patients feel comfortable throughout their visit. I have never experienced such a combination of compassion, excellent service, and leaving without feeling lectured. I will always highly recommend them and have had nothing but positive experiences in the chair. Dr. Yi is wonderful as are all the hygienists.
