Everyone here will gladly go out of their way, above & beyond, to help you- and they'll smile while they're doing it! A great place staffed w/ great people who aren't just going through the motions & waiting for quitting time, as is so obvious at many big chain pharmacies. I've been coming here from Rockville once a month, 60 mile round trip, for decades, as I got tired of the big pharmacies just shrugging & saying, "Sorry, your meds aren't available." Whitesell will do whatever it takes, they'll remember your name, & treat you like family while they're at it. Can't ask more than that...

I had an initial fitting for a prosthesis in the spring of 2024 in a small room at the back of the store. The person who assisted me was very pleasant. She indicated that my insurance would cover all costs. Flash forward to December of 2025, and I was called by the pharmacy regarding an outstanding balance. Confused, I called the store. I made a basic inquiry and given an excuse that they have a new billing company. I informed the person I was told my insurance would cover the costs, and unclear why it was denied—I also never received a denial from my insurance company. I said I did not feel I was liable, and the person hung up the phone on me. I tried to call back, and no one answered. Truly an unprofessional way to handle an internal error.

If you're looking for good old fashioned, competent, friendly and efficient service for your prescription needs and some over-the-counter medications, this is the place to go. Everyone I've talked to in the Frederick area, especially those in my support group say that this is their favorite. I can see why. The entire staff is amazing. The app is perfect and you can even text with them. They've also saved me money on all of my medications and help me navigate the problems with insurance. We're lucky to have them instead of all the big corporate pharmacies.

Best family owned experience. The large chain pharmacies can't compare with the level of care and attention you get from the attentive staff.
