Was babysitting my friend’s diabetic dog who unfortunately had a high blood sugar scare. Dr. Myers & staff was so friendly and professional. They treated my friend’s dog like it was their own child. They were thorough with their diagnosis & treatment of her problem and really too a huge load of stress off of me. My friend’s dog following her treatment is back to her normal with her sassy self. Thank you all, Lithia Springs Westside Animal Emergency Clinic!

I had a terrible experience here and would not recommend this place to anyone dealing with a real emergency. There was zero sense of urgency, which is unacceptable for a facility that calls itself an “emergency” vet. It felt more like an urgent care at best. I was already extremely upset about my pet’s condition, and when I tried to express my concerns, the veterinarian took it personally and seemed offended—as if I was upset with them, rather than worried about my animal. I was left questioning the level of expertise and would honestly like to know more about the vet’s credentials. After paying a ridiculously high bill, they referred us to an actual emergency vet. That clinic ran the same tests and more for about 40% less, and provided far better care and urgency. If your pet is truly in

When a pet in distress and can barely breathe, I expect the vet to shoot straight with us and do what's best for the animal. We took our cat in on New Years Eve because she had developed an asthmatic condition and could not breathe well. She also had stopped eating, drinking, and using the bathroom. I knew it was the end for our sweet girl, and I just wanted to put her to rest and end her suffering. Instead, they claimed that they needed to run a bunch of tests, guilting us into paying a bunch of money before the vet even took one look at our cat. So we paid $1700 for blood tests, x-rays, and some medication that was supposed to help her breathe a bit better and took her back home until we could get her to the vet near our home. $1700 wasted. The next day on New Years Day, our home

We were very impressed with the care given to our Penny Mae during her emergency last night. Excellent communication from the staff to us, professionalism was right on, and the expediting of her treatment was spot on. Our Penny is much better today and we thank the staff of Westside Emergency Animal Hospital for the excellent care provided.

Wanted to keep our dog overnight and charge 3,000 +. Our dog had been hit by a car, which is a serious injury. However, we saw it happen and he wasn’t completely run over. We knew he had possible internal injuries and open wounds that needed repair. However, he was alert and responding to us when we arrived. We did ask for pain meds because he was in a lot of pain. Did not receive. We were worried he could have a broken leg or ribs. We decided to leave and take him home in order to get him to our home veterinary hospital first thing the next morning. We live an hour and a half away. When we were leaving the dr came out and wanted to euthanize for $0 she stated. I could not let that happen because of how alert he was and his pupils were responding to light. We then decided to drive to Rome
