This began when I called the “corporate office” number listed by my insurance company on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. During that call, my insurance was verified as active and in-network, an appointment was scheduled for Friday, December 12 at 4:30 PM, and I was strongly encouraged to complete all intake forms in advance, which I did immediately. Everything was confirmed, including the office address, and I was fully prepared for my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I received a call at 2:00 PM asking me to come in at 2:30 PM due to a “dentist emergency.” When I explained that I was an hour away and could not arrive that quickly, the story changed. Absolutely TERRIBLE place of business. Did not tell me that I needed to verify my own insurance with the insurance company and provide my social security number prior to coming in for the scheduled appointment. Front desk guy in a tie simply crossed off my name with a black marker and told me I could be seen as a cash patient only. The flippant attitude and the audacity to act like I was in the wrong after disrespecting my time was ridiculous. I left after I attempted to verify my insurance on hold with the insurance company for nearly 40 minutes past the scheduled start time. When I made a comment about their unprofessionalism, the front desk told me to go to Beverly Hills or Woodland Hills if I wanted better service and they would treat me great. AVOID.

Inhumane and Disorganized Care for a Patient in Severe Pain I visited Western Dental ( vanowen / Canoga Park )today because I was experiencing severe tooth pain, and the experience was completely inhumane. The manager, who identified himself as Esteban, treated me rudely and without any empathy: – He raised his voice at me, which is absolutely inappropriate in any healthcare setting. – I had spent 35 minutes on the phone scheduling an appointment, only to be told upon arrival that there was no appointment available for me. – He explained that the call center is located in Guatemala, but it shouldn’t matter whether it’s in Guatemala or China — we are in the United States, and the scheduling system should work correctly and not waste patients’ time. The service sucks at this location… they never filled my prescription for antibiotics so I’m still dealing with pain and inflammation … corporate and myself tried to reach them numerous times each and they never answered the phone or responded to the emails.. I’m literally canceling my appointment and finding another dentist. These corporations just want $$.. I’ll never visit another Western Dental ever again.. I should’ve learned the first time I took my son.. the actual dentist at the one in Hesperia wanted me to lie about not bringing my son there after she screwed up..

Not the best experience this time around. Unfortunately, nobody was able to get in contact with me to tell me the dentist was last minute no longer available for my appointment (Even though they confirmed my number is correct when I arrived). I was rescheduled for a later date and I have had other experiences, but this particular one (and one other) and how it was handled does make me question remaining a patient here.
