Canyon Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

My friend is a new client in this facility. Upon my arrival your front desk clerk was super friendly, efficient, bubbly, helpful & all smiles. Sweetest young lady ever. The head nurse was very nice as well. However, I was a little concerned that my elderly friend asked me to get her oxygen mask when I walked in the room. She has pneumonia and couldn’t catch her breath good. Immediately I went to get the head nurse. Two came to the room. A man and a woman. Apparently my friend pulled her tube out when sleeping. They took care of all right away. I believe they also used a pulse oximeter to estimate her blood oxygen level. My friend was also extremely thirsty. Visited my friend today at Canyon Oaks. I was very impressed by the facility. It was bright and cheerful, clean and well organized. The staff was attentive, helpful, kind and efficient. They have a nice dining room area and lovely outdoor courtyard with tables. This place does not have the depressing atmosphere you often find in nursing homes

Very professional, LVN’s & CNA’s are great & take good care of the patients. The guys who give medicines in the unit are very cheerful & friendly, they always bring a smile to my mom’s face. The place is very clean. My mom loves her caretakers & sometimes will not eat when I try to feed her but Maria comes & she wants her to feed her. Everyone is very patient & I see they work hard to take good care of each & everyone. They keep us posted on any changes my mom is going through. I would highly recommend this place.

Our visit with Martin was very nice . The facility was very nice as well . The staff helped us get Martin into a wheel chair and we went into a larger room to talk and share what we have been doing over the past few weeks . Martin was able to share what he has been going thru with his Dr. visits and procedures that he has gone thru over the past weeks . We enjoyed our visit with him and we will see him again at the facility .

From our first tour meeting Nikki in administration, during a “surprise” weekend visit to our discharge overseen by Charise in Social Services the experience at Canyon Oaks was absolutely exceptional!! I come from a healthcare background, making me VERY picky and a little difficult to please. This facility was beyond amazing, my parents actually relaxed and were able to heal here. They preferred this facility to others they had been at. Call lights are answered promptly. Patients don’t smell or stay dirty. No one makes you feel like you are a burden… even though you might have a lot of questions. PT and OT were also exceptional getting my dad back on his feet and working with insurance company.
