West Side Pediatric Dentistry

My daughter has visited this practice twice now. Once at age 2 and recently at age 2 1/2. We have had very good experiences both times. The room is well equipped for the smaller children with bright walls and a flat screen tv so the children can watch cartoons while being examined. Dr. Yana was gentle with my daughter and provided me with guidance on how to maintain my daughter’s oral health. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Dr Yana is very kind and gentle. Totally recommend her. My toddlers loved the visit. She was careful with kids and gave me her professional advice how to keep the little teeth healthy. Waiting area is a bit small, but it is New York City.

I was disappointed and won’t be back. Took my 2-year old for his first visit. The doctor didn’t take the time to make him feel comfortable sitting on the chair or explaining to him what she was going to do with the toothbrush in hand. In the end 3 people held him down as he was screaming while she examined his teeth. She applied fluoride without explaining what it was and once everything was over she asked if I had any questions. Why not take 2 minutes beforehand to explain what will happen, make the little guy comfortable, instead of making it the worst possible first experience at the dentist?

Everyone is super nice. Waiting area is small but I like that it’s never crowded. We are always seen right at our appt time. I also love that they make my daughter feel comfortable. Always a good experience.

Dr Sverdlova is patient and attentive. My son doesn’t like to go to doctors at all. Dr Sverdlova’s way makes him feel very comfortable and he allows her to have any procedures done (even tooth extraction) without any tantrums. Thank you.
