We had a cat that was having consistent health issues, and had taken her to many vets in town, though our primary was Pet Hospital of Madison. They were full the day we needed her looked at, so they referred us here. Not only did they book us on short notice (after lunch on a Friday when we called), but they immediately took a closer look at our cat than anyone else had, and went through way more steps on our behalf than anyone else. Unfortunately, we determined our cat had a mass on her bladder, and she was suffering pretty badly with little to no end in sight, so we ended up having to put her down. I’ve been bringing my dog to this vet for 3-4 years. Firstly, the girls in the front have never been friendly or customer service based at all. Especially Erica. I walked in and they said “we’re waiting for a room to open.” No hello, no nothing. Secondly, the vet said she had no clue what was causing my dog’s symptoms. She gave him a pricey antibiotic and an anti-fungal. The anti-fungal was 45.00 and the antibiotic was 37.50. They completely overcharged for these drugs. I could have gotten them from Good Rx for 12.00 for dogs. Thirdly, I spoke to the manager about being overcharged for the medications and the exam charge went from 55.00 to 70.60. I asked for some money back. She said no she couldn’t refund it. I only take him there because it’s close to my house and he doesn’t like to ride

We have taken our 2 dogs and cat to this vet. They offer boarding, pet wash, and day care. With an appointment I stay about 1 hour each visit. Staff is friendly, doctors are great.

Had to wait quite awhile. I had 3 pets for exams and vaccines and was there over 2 hours. However, the care was great and I really liked Dr. Mixon.

I recently relocated to the Huntsville area from Connecticut where my family owns and operates a boarding facility with doggy daycare and grooming. Coming from the business myself, I am very pleased with the services provided to my dog at West Madison Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort. The staff are friendly and patient with my anxiety about boarding my dog- and Tucker always returns well cared for. I LOVE the fact that all of the staff are trained in "Fear Free" training, which makes me feel much better about boarding my dog who has separation anxiety. And coming from New England, the prices are awesome!
