Dr. Hsu was excellent. From 1st consultation through post op care. He gave me all the information and asked me what I wanted to do. Surgery went well and the whole tumor was removed. A few days in the hospital and I was home. Totally recovered and back to work in 2 months. I am blessed and grateful for Dr Hsu's knowledge and expertise.

Thus far I have been satisfied with my neck surgery of a little over a half month back by Dr. Hsu. He was/is professional and, by God's grace, we feel the whole process was successful. An outstanding surgeon, as I also feel Dr. Hsu is also, had done surgery on my neck in 2009, going through the front then, but this time, it was necessary that Dr. Hsu go through the back. I would definitely recomment Dr. Hsu and the fine hospital called Atrium Wake Forest Baptist. My husband was also sent to this hospital, the Cancer Center, from another fine institution.

My husband had neck surgery Dec 2019 because of severe spinal cord compression causing him to suddenly barely be able to walk. We came in on a Thursday late afternoon from a neurologist who said he needed immediate surgery. Dr. Hsu operated on a Saturday morning even though his group didn't typically operate on week-ends because he felt it was crucial that my husband get the needed surgery immediately. He probably would have operated on Friday but other patients with broken necks had to come first. Dr. Hsu was very professional and explained things well as we asked specific questions. He had to use an atypical approach since my husband had had previous surgery in the front of his neck and would have scar tissue to impede surgery from the front. He did a brilliant job. Dr. Hsu is an amazing surgeon! He is conservative in his approach to surgery and direct in his presentation and discussions. Dr. Hsu explained my options thoroughly and took the time to answer all of my questions, as well as my husband’s. He listened and took to heart our concerns. My surgery was not a common or easy due to the problem being in the thoracic area. Dr. Hsu was upfront and clear with the details and possible complications of the surgery. He supported me as I tried other avenues to try to avoid the major surgery. I truly appreciated this! After a few months, it became apparent that surgery was needed. I would recommend anyone who is looking for doctor who truly cares about the overall health of their patients to visit Dr. Hsu's practice and see how you will leave his office with a remarkable patient experience. He also has the greatest nurse practitioner in Tabitha Hollins. These two have changed my life for the better.
