Washington Gastroenterology: Silverdale

I'm doing everything I can to try to get an appointment. Back in October I was referred to WA GI. In November I was scheduled for an appointment on Jan 26. When I showed up for that appointment I was told that they could not see me until L&I approved it. This is unusual and I contacted L&I who immediately approved the visit. Now it's Feb 4th and WA GI still tells me that their internal process for approving the visit still is not complete. They have been given all info needed, they've gotten the green light from L&I, and they are not able to tell me what they are needing now in order to schedule the appointment. My injury was in August and I'm in pain every day. I just need help and don't know what to do to be seen.

I saw Dr. Doherty in Silverdale. Ranadomly picked him. I moved here from Hawaii last year because after going to 3 gastro docs on island, no one could tell me what was wrong. They just wanted to do colonoscopy after colonoscopy. Like having more than one would change how sick I was. I thought I had some kind of cancer since I'd been sick for so long on island. My first appointment Dr. Doherty, he just asked me questions. That's what a good doc does. He gave me one test. Positive for SIBO. Put me on a plan and bam I'm fixed. I didn't even know what SIBO was but after being diagnosed, I've found that it is very common on island for multiple reasons. And none of these island docs could figure it out. None really asked me questions. They just wanted to stick things up me and down me. Mahal

would highly recommend seeking alternate offices for care- this office struggles to provide comprehensive care. My designated driver (my gf and caretaker) was NOT notified after my procedure. I was wheeled out of the building half conscious with my paperwork, which had supposedly been explained to me earlier. I had to call my gf on my own, and she was already about to come inside the office because of how long the procedure was taking. Apparently it was a high-volume patient day, but this is still unacceptable. I have also had very frustrating and disappointing experiences with billing department (specifically Sylvia) and scheduling staff. First time ever being put under anesthesia to have my stomach checked out and honestly, I expected to be nervous. Instead, I received a warm blanket, was rolled into a clean, softly lit room with calming music playing and the next thing I knew, I was waking up and it was already over. So quick, so peaceful and all done!

I have been a patient of Dr Parker’s for a few years. In July I had a procedure and Scan done at Rayus in Poulsbo. My tests came back with multiple issues and I called WAGI to have someone go through my test results. I was told I could pick up my documents which I did. I called several times (5) and requested to have Jennifer or another medical assistant call me back about my results. It took over 2 months to get a quick call back and the lady wouldn’t even go through my test results with me, I was told I had to wait for my appointment on October 21 .
