Walgreens Pharmacy

My most recent pharmacy visit was awful. I was notified that my medication a (GLP-1) was ready for pickup. 1 hour later I got a notification that it was delayed because it was out of stock. A week later I get a notification that it is ready for pickup again. I go to pick up at a busy time 3pm. The pharmacy tech rang me up but my medication was not on hold ready for pickup, but it was on the cancellation list! The tech ask the pharmacist what to do because she was clearly new. THE PHARMACIST SAID “She gets the medication (GLP-1) for free, so we don’t put it on hold. She can get whenever as long as there is stock available in the fridge. We hold the medication (GLP-1) for those that pay for it.” This seems like unlawful practice to disclose this information in-front of the customer. It al

Pharmacists are great once you speak with them but don't always follow through. Phone wait time sometimes 40+ minutes. Lately my meds orders are being messed up, getting messages for pickup for refills l didn't refill... and even canceled. Refills l asked for aren't ready when promised. They were Out of my regular medication l asked to be refilled 5 days ago, with no warning phone call or text. I had to find another pharmacy with the med in stock and get a new Dr prescription over the weekend. Often very long wait inside, and drive through. Promised time for pick up don't work.

Understaffed, overworked, and most likely under paid! Walgreens on Brambleton Roanoke VA need to HIRE help, PAY more and UPGRADE thier phone system! And if the staff is short or rude or rx's arent filled, its no wonder!!!!! BLAME WALGREENS!!!

Service at this walgreens is slower than any pharmacy i’ve been to in Roanoke or Salem. I highly recommend using the CVS up the road.

Walgreens on Brambleton used to be top notch. Now they are awful. Reduced hours, don't take care of things they should. Slow to fill scripts that I used to be able to pull up, say I was waiting and they were ready 20 minutes later. Now you are told sorry, come back in an hour and a half. We went out of town to Miami and we had to get a script that needed a PA. They took care of it and we got it the next day. This Walgreens doesn't even bother helping.
