Walgreens Pharmacy

The pharmacy is a joke and will never have your prescriptions ready regardless of whether you get an email saying its ready.

The pharmacy tech did not know the difference between two meds. I requested a refill for a specific medication that still had 2 refills left. She said no because I just had it refilled last month. I was in shock. I said okay since I didn’t have the bottle with me. After I come home I realize she confused two of my medications. They both started with the same letter, but have very different names . I thought to work in the pharmacy a person had to have training . She needs to go to training either for the first time or repeat it. The line was very long and even though there were two or three persons working it progressed slowly. The pharmacy needs more properly trained personnel especially in the afternoons. The personnel was polite, but didn’t appear to be effective or efficient.

Rude staff including pharmacists. Rx frequently not in stock. Would not recommend. Update 6/2022 I finally changed pharmacies! Now it takes 3 days to fill a regular monthly prescription. Pharmacist is rude and incompetent. Medications are frequently out of stock. The last straw was a medication ordered. I was told it would be in stock in 4 days. I called and as usual was on hold for 15 minutes. Only to be told still not in stock. Over the next 2 weeks I was told to call back every 2 days. Same story. After 2 weeks Pharmacist told staffer to tell me he had filled his "quota" and I needed to go elsewhere! I have. Kudos to Giant Pharmacy! No problem filling prescriptions, friendly staff, free delivery 😀

The store employees are nice. The pharmacy and employees need a class(es) on customer service and calling patients when a medication(s) are not in stock. They wait until you come back an hour later to let you know. Just stay with your regular pharmacy.
