Walgreens Pharmacy

I have several medications. Walgreens at Brookshire's in Athens does a great job of letting me know when I need a refill. The staff is courteous and very helpful.

I am not sure what is happening to what was once Brookshire's Pharmacy, but since being acquired by or otherwise transitioned to Walgreens, their service has remarkably gone by the wayside. Too many prescriptions are sent to the wrong Walgreens and their system has been slow to update, and it's been more than a year at this point. Some of the staff are friendly, but others are less so, and whatever grief they're receiving is tickling out to customers trying to be kind. I don't like being unpleasant, and I don't like receiving the displeasure of dealing with this mess, so putting this as delicately as I can, I just refuse to have the patience to deal with a company so inefficiently managed to just to outsource their labor through us via environmentally wasteful artificially intelligent serv

Very understaffed. The people there work hard and are friendly

This pharmacy gave us trouble all day as a clinic trying to fill medications for a canine client. Initially, my office manager called in the prescription for cabergoline (a non-controlled substance), and the pharmacy kept either hanging up or dropping the call. Eventually after about 30 minutes of his time on hold or waiting, he was able to complete the request. About 3-4 hours later, the client went to pick up the medication. They called our hospital, and claimed we were supposed to have called to give them more information, which we got on the phone to complete. My technician answered questions, including refill requests, and then they asked for my DEA (controlled substance license).
