VR Pediatrics

Do not waste your time coming to this pediatrician. We are first time parents and brought our newborn here at 3 days old after our hospital discharge & he spent no lie about 3 minutes in the room checking the baby. They took her weight, took her cord clamp off & he said “how are her poops” then said okay see you in 2 weeks. He did not ask if we had a single question, he did not ask our names, he did not ask the baby’s name, he did not ask us how many times a day she is peeing or pooping, nothing. They did not even take her temperature or other vitals. He also did not sanitize his hands or wash them when he came in the room to assess her. As a registered nurse I’m appalled. I have never witnessed such poor care by any physician I have encountered. Not to mention, the office is disgusting. W

In 2012, when I relocated from the South Daytona area to the north, I sought a highly recommended pediatrician for my then 2-year-old child. Based on universal acclaim, I consulted Dr. R. He has consistently provided exceptional care, not only for my first child but also for all three of my kids. Throughout our interactions, Dr. R has demonstrated a profound respect for my parenting decisions, never pressuring me towards a particular course of action. His kind demeanor has been instrumental in easing my children's apprehensions during visits. I appreciate his significant role in maintaining the health and happiness of my children over the past decade. I am pleased that I chose to switch to his care.

Our son’s current pediatrician, Dr. Virginio Rodriguez, has seen him on two occasions. On both visits, the interactions were extremely brief (approximately two minutes each), and there was no meaningful effort made to fully evaluate, assess, or become familiar with my son’s medical history or condition. The office environment was overcrowded, with patients in every room waiting, and it was clear that appointments were rushed. During one of these visits, Dr. Rodriguez prescribed Bactrim (trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole) for what was diagnosed as viral gastroenteritis. Following the administration of this antibiotic, my son’s condition significantly worsened. He developed a rash and became severely more dehydrated by the next morning. First time meeting and trying this Dr. The office is filthy. Like quite literally dirty. Overwhelming and packed. Kids screaming everywhere (yes I know it is a Dr office, however the amount of children in one area was absurd). After being put in an extremely small room (couldn't barely fit the stroller), I noticed the broken equipment on the wall, the fold out medical bed creaked and moved when my very small/light child sat still on it. The walls and carpets looked as if they havent been cleaned in YEARS. The dr came in an instantly walked to my child, did not greet or anything, and started a "physcial" assessment. (Push my hands, lift your leg, bend over type thing.) I pointed out two concerns and instantly was told "It will heal, thats fine." Then he said "perfect" and handed us a paper

We have been going to Dr Rodriguez for 10 years now! We love him, he is great with the kids and always listens to any concerns. Never have a problem making appointments, his staff is awesome! Would always recommend him!
