This is going to be a long one but it is definitely worth the read. I’ve always had bad vision, started around age 5 and just got worse as I got older. I never knew there was such a thing called Vision Therapy and I definitely wish I had because I could’ve used it many years ago. In 2016 I started losing the vision in my left eye, a small black dot that eventually got big enough to impair my vision. I visited several eye doctors with different specialties to try and figure out what was going on but none of them could help me. In May 2017 I woke up one day just not feeling right and my heart was pumping more rapid than normal I went to my doctor and they checked my heart and couldn’t find anything. Yet the weird heart palpitations continued to happen off and on throughout the next few days.

I cannot recommend and thank Virginia Vision Therapy enough! Our son really struggled with reading, playing sports, and school work. He was placed in the 24 week accelerated program and within weeks we were seeing improvements. He will sit down and read a book (without being told), comprehends the book well, and can play catch. This program and coaching has been such a blessing. Kera was our main therapist and she is just the best. Talk about a champion. Our son was excited to come to sessions and felt so supported by Kera and the whole team every week. Thank you VVT!

My experience with Akeila Edwards was truly transformative. She was deeply invested in my personal healing and supported me through every step of the therapy, even when it was difficult.
