VCA Aurora Animal Hospital

We brought our dog Jax in July of 2022. He was diagnosed by them with stage 4 Lymphoma. They said he only has a few weeks, or we could do chemo. We went spent $10,000 on Chemo, and were told Jax would still only have 9 months to live even with the Chemo. Of course we wanted all of the time that we could get with him, so we went with their diagnosis. After $10,000, we couldn't afford it anymore, so we opted to stop. They made us feel guilty. Let me tell you, I went on-line and researched and researched to keep this boy alive. I found a regiment ON MY OWN! All natural, and guess what...it is 2026, and he is still with us. He was diagnosed at 6, and he will be turning 10 in April. If anyone is going what we went through, I am happy to share the healthy treatment that we have Jaxie on.

I’ve been to several different vets, I have a 4,8 pounds puppy, nobody wanted to treat him or do blood test because he was too small beside VCA! This is the best service I ever had and they save my dog. Since 6 month we are followed by the neurologist dr. mercier and she has been a really good support. They are always ready to answer my questions and take time with me on the phone when my kobe have a seizure. I rarely take time to leave reviews but if your dog need assistance I highly recommend going to see them. i would trust them with my own life!

Wow this place is a disaster. You guys should listen to the reviews and save yourself my going to the 24hr pet hospital in oakbrook instead. This was a horrible experience, not professional at all, and they want a signature for every little thing when the don’t even obey to it. Worse of all they get your signature for everything then take your dog back BY THEMSELVES to do the “exam” and “vitals”. I DID NOT consent for them to place an IV catheter and was told by the DOCTOR HERSELF they did not do it. I had asked because when given back to me her paw was wet and smelled like alcohol BUT not until today did I notice they in fact shaved the back of her paw. what else could they possible need to shave the back of her paw for and wipe with alcohol??? I couldn’t agree more with all the negative reviews . This place use to be great. It has gone down hill. Is all about the money. Discussing needless to say. I truly believe you are better off not taking your dog here. The bill will drill a hole on your wallet so big that you will be paying years for it. I chose to leave and it was the best decision I made. My dog is well and happy. Get ready to pay for tests because they are so incompetent they need to do every test there is to figure out what is going on. And still they can’t. I went in knowing what my dog had and they still wanted to run all these non sense tests with no guarantee that they will figure out the issue. The thing was I knew the issue. We had a litter of puppies and had lost one and had another in distress. We went to VCA and the vet ended up putting down our puppy calling out aspiration and chest issues and that it was our best option. When we got home two others were also sick so we decided to try emergency vet care in Madison WI. We had a completely different experience, prompt care with IV support and fluids, chest x-rays and blood work and our puppies were saved with antibiotics and care. Do not bring your small breed dogs here they do not understand the breed and would rather jump to conclusions that just because they have a flat face they must be deformed for otherwise. There was never mention of antibiotics to heal or could there be an infection of some kind and the vet knew we had lost one already and had a
