There are not many Dr’s that know what my condition is and how to treat it. Dr. Burns, my Physical Therapist, has been on this complicated medical journey with me for years. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and don’t make enough collegian which causes many medical challenges. I have had many serious surgeries; total joint replacements, 3 level fusions etc. Once a Dr. requests PT, it is critical to find someone that knows how to treat your specific condition; PT recovery is as important as surgery. I am blessed that Dr. Burns has been part of my recovery, because I could not have done this without her. Most importantly, she always has a warm smile, and spends time with each patient individually. This approach is almost impossible to find in the PT environment.
