Van Meter Oral Surgery

Ever been to an oral surgeon that wastes your time and then refuses to do a wisdom teeth extraction?Van Meter is just that! Wasted an hour sitting in the lobby/ private room( plus the 30 min drive each way) for the dentist to finally come in, put his gloved hand in my mouth for maybe 5 seconds and then start looking at the xray to tell me that the teeth are too close to a nerve so he wouldn’t touch them. Pathetic.

My review is they called me back today rude disrespectful. Don’t want to take me in even though I’m going through a lot of pain and I have trouble with transportation. I wouldn’t advise no one to come to this service. Appreciate the first time but I’ll never appreciate the second time because now you guys well, they wanna call me saying that all those four times I’ve scheduled appointments just for other people not to get booked Was a problem. I understand that I understand where these people are coming from but it’s very rude to decline a person when they’re going through pain and need things done when they finally Especially since their family members have passed away, I have lost my dad and I’ve lost my twin brother recently so with that being said, I don’t have anyone close to me to ma

Run! I haven't even brought my kids here yet AND I NEVER WILL. I called Monday and left a voicemail for a referral. I hoped for a call back on Tuesday and nothing. I called again on Wednesday. Still no response. I called Thursday and left another voicemail speaking of how many times I called and wondering if they're closed or why they can't answer the phone. Huge red flag right? How about the lady called me at 7am on Friday?! The first thing I asked is if they open at 7am and she hesitated and said yes. Lies. They open at 8. Then, the only days I could choose from were Tuesday and Wednesday. So, I chose spring break week, only for her to say the surgeon usually closes spring break to be with his kids. Maybe pick somewhere else. It's not a good experience. I had a full panic attack after my visit. Pain was insane. I had 3 kids No meds nothing. I've had 4 wisdom teeth out( BY A DIFFERENT SURGEON)., fully awake still no pain No discomfort. This was a horrible experience.

I have been to Dr Van Meter for a couple of extractions & to have my wisdom teeth done, all in the last year. He's extracted teeth other dentists couldn't, & I'm glad he had the instinct to do my wisdom teeth at the hospital. Him & his office staff are always friendly, and they offer very good after care if you need it, as well. I highly recommend.
