Valley Vision Associates: Davis Robert D OD

I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but my case was handled poorly. Coming from a billing background, I asked that my coverage be checked when I made my appointment. Arriving at my appointment, the front desk gal assured me that my insurance was good and that the check up would be covered. The assistants and doctor were pleasant and cordial. The office was clean and I felt they ran a tight ship. However, upon exiting, the treatment coordinator said I had no coverage and needed to pay for the appointment. I was a bit taken back and surprised at the way she said it with some attitude. I stated that I had asked that my coverage be verified in advance (I wanted to use my insurance) and that the front desk had said it would be covered. Of course, the front desk gal was on lunch at the time.

The eye doctor asked me 3x, “How is your health” without asking specifics. Told him it was fine 2x, by the third time I was annoyed and let him know I just had a complete physical with labs four months ago, lost 40lbs and everything was great, I don’t understand what he was eluding to. He didn’t say anything about my eye records which were supposed to be transferred there and didn’t think to ask me any questions about my most recent previous eye care. I got a referral for a very overpriced cataract place in Yakima where that eye doctor, spent five minutes with me max. It’s too bad this is the only United Healthcare eye doc in Ellensburg and if you want to go somewhere else the next place is forty miles away and this establishment has a monopoly for this area.

Everyone there has been wonderful for us and our boys. They have gone the extra mile to keep things easy and low cost.

I came to this place with an eye emergency and they took care of me. Highly recommend it friendly staff.
