VA Hospital Regional Office bldg 66

I'm an USAF Veteran, Retired from Little Rock VA and now Volunteer at Ft Roots. I'm also a patient with Multiple Sclerosis. I love volunteering in the Adult Day Health Care Unit and being able to spend time with these awesome Veterans.

Had an appointment with PCP! Didn't take long and he asked all the right questions! Refilled my meds as requested! Receptionist insisted on giving me a meal ticket! Food was pretty good as well!

The V.A. has withheld treatment of my 3 heart blockages for over a year in retaliation for my complaint against a male nurse. I would tell ALL female vets the following: You are NOT safe from male harassment at Arkansas V.A. hospitals. You will be denied treatment, left sick, be told & shown repeatedly that you matter the least. Your medications will be withheld. Your wait times will be "manipulated" over & over again. THE ARKANSAS V.A. HOSPITALS WILL COVER FOR A HARASSING, DANGEROUS MALE EMPLOYEE BUT WILL NOT TREAT A DISABLED FEMALE VET'S 3 HEART BLOCKAGES. Think about that & what it means for women here.

I've been going there for many many years and it's not been good all that time but lately things have changed for the better. There's good healthcare provided to those who served and their dependents.

If you're a veteran, be sure to keep your other than VA insurance. The wait times for appointments is ridiculous. Then they call and cancel all the time, and reschedule a month or so past your scheduled appointment. Not at all happy with the VA service I've received in Little Rock.
