VA Emergency Room

I understand the ER is busy but for me to sit in a room for 3 hours and not even a nurse came to check on me is ridiculous. I tried to leave and was stopped by a nurse telling me I can’t leave but then proceeds to stand around and gossip. That really pissed me OFF!!!! I understand that my wounds aren’t visible to the naked eye but the last time this happened I ended up passing out and having to go to a civilian hospital due to internal bleeding. But hey, I guess you have to be basically dying to get help.

OMG don’t go to the ER. You could die there.I sat in the waiting room for 6hr before I was call to the back when I get there the nurses treated me like shit there attitude was the worse. I have felt so bad that I got sick and needed there help. I understand if there were patients bleeding, heart attacks. But there was none. Do yourself a favor don’t come here.

I was treated with quality care at my visit to the Hampton VA Medical Center emergency room. They were very courteous, kind, and thorough in facilitating my care. They addressed any concerns my husband and I had and my prescription was ready very quickly at the pharmacy. Kudos for a job well done esp since it was packed with people.

The wait time is terrible to be honest. For a check in with pain you would think they move like it's important. After serving it's like I'm just another patient. I have been waiting since 7am it is now 1pm and still waiting. 😕

Hampton VAMC Is the finest VA Hospital in the country. I lived in Maryland had to go to the DC VA. It was a fine Hospital as well. However traffic in and out of DC was less than desirable. Thank you Hampton VAMC you guys are here for the Veterans.
