UVA Health UVA Dermatology Waynesboro

Yesterday morning I had an appointment with a new doctor, dermatologist C. Sweet. Yall. I had tears of JOY during and after that appointment. She LISTENED. She FIGURED it out WITH ME. I left with treatment options, hope, and a diagnosis that took almost TWENTY YEARS!!!! After years and years of doctors gas lighting, blaming my weight-diet-etc, making jokes, and ignoring my requests for help. And yall think women get a fair shot at medical care?..... Twenty stupid years of suffering for no stupid reason. 😤 when it only took her half an hour to make me feel seen, heard, safe, and cared about.

The staff and doctors are amazing !! Very professional staff and knowledgeable. Their office is one of the cleanest offices I've ever been in. I've always had a good experience with anything related to UVA Health Systems

We had our first visit yesterday. Very impressed with how everything was handled. Go back in 6 months. Update 4/25: go back Monday to have 2 areas scraped. Update 4/25: two areas cleaned and scraped. Excellent service.

Received a call 11 days before my appointment to tell me UVA dermatology has canceled my appointment, and that I've been put on a recall list. If, and when, a new provider is hired I would then be notified. I called to find out why I wasn't scheduled with another provider. I was told there's only one provider, and she's leaving on maternity leave in March and no appointments are available. I asked if my wait could be 6 weeks, 6 months or a year and was told yes. If you are in need of a dermatologist, don't look here. I'll be looking elsewhere as I've already waited a year for the appointment they just canceled.

Called to see if clinic was accepting new patients. Per the receptionist they “currently only have 1 provider and she is out on maternity leave, next available appointments are January 2025.” The website states there are 8 providers practicing at this location.
