UVA Health Urgent Care Bristow

This is more of a smack a bandaid on it kinda place. Just horrible to be tied to the UVA Health network. This place really went the wrong direction in care since it first opened. Firstly, Front desk personnel, IMMEDIATELY, I mean IMMEDIATELY, and snotty, instantly set the the tone for this place. Save yourself time, and a headache, hospital $200+co-pays, and just go straight to Patient First. Patient First took patient in right away, started running all test, where this facility wouldn't even attempt saying they werent capable of any test as such, and just quick to dismiss, and send one to hospital. Guess what, hospital was not necessary! Only selected one star as no other option in order to proceed. If there was a negative star option or a pirate flag, it definitely would be selected.

If I could leave a negative star I would. I have been a patient for many years of Dr Demarco. She has been fantastic! Today I went to the urgent care side of things this morning. Was waiting out in my car before 8am. Had breakfast in my car got out to throw it away and was going to read the sign on the door. Was greeted at the door by the so called Manager Lisa as I walked to read the sign and she stated the building had a fire last night. I was like oh okay, asked if they sent an email out as I’m sure other people would like to know. She was very rude and stated well corporate knows and there is a sign on the door - I asked because I work in the medical field and it would save a lot of people time if they know. She said well corporate knows. She was talking to me like a child. I told her

Both the PCP and Urgent care sides are fantastic. The doctors and nurses seem to actually care about you.

Absolutely unprofessional and racist. Specifically both the front desk receptionist women and NP Whitney Hood. Seems like it was such an inconvenience to let me know over the phone if they take walk ins. After arriving both me and a family member were treated horribly. I was translating for my family member when the receptionist looks at him and says “He can’t speak for himself?” . I mentioned that was rude and she proceeds to say she was going to leave before she loses her job. Absolutely unprofessional. After heading to the room and talking to the NP I voiced my concerns and let her know the situation and she refused to do anything about it and basically walked away. Went into UVA urgent care today, they were fast at getting me back as well as getting diagnosed. Whitney Hood NP and Adrianne Bull as the nurse was a great team and was very helpful with reducing the cost of medicine prices. They helped me find coupons for the medicine needed and understood the situation with insurance. They were very friendly and professional. I would gladly go back any time I need to seek medical attention again. Thank you for all the help and generosity!
