UVA Health Surgical Care, part of Culpeper Medical Center

The doctor I saw was fine but I drove an 1.5 hrs to see her because she was in network for my insurance. While there, she had me do an X-Ray which apparently was out of network and over $500. Would have been less than $150 in network. I appealed repeatedly but the shady UVA health bill dept does not care even though balance billing is illegal in VA.

Does not answer phone or return calls. Will not treat you like a patient. Just a paycheck. They shuffle you to their automated system at every opportunity. Anything they can do to avoid having to actually spend time helping you as a human being. If you want to be treated with dignity, respect, and not like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. Then find another health care provider. This isn't the one.
