Culpeper Kids Dentistry

We received a mailer toward the end of last summer while we were in the process of switching our family’s dental care from Northern Virginia to Culpeper. After looking into local options for our children, we decided to give this practice a try for their dental checkups and future dental needs. We brought the kids in for their first visit sometime in September/October and met with Dr. Andrews. We were really impressed with how kind, professional, and knowledgeable he was when it came to our children’s dental care. He took the time to explain things clearly and made the experience feel comfortable and reassuring for both the kids and us as parents. The rest of the staff were also incredibly welcoming and did a great job helping our children feel at ease in what was a completely new environ

We had an emergency visit today for my daughter’s tooth extraction, and the entire team was absolutely amazing - from the very first phone call all the way through checkout. They were calm, kind, and made her feel so comfortable during the entire process. We’re so grateful for the care and compassion they showed.

Overall this practice has the ability to be amazing. I will say my experience has solely been with Dr. Amante and I cannot speak to the other doctor that as joined the practice. My son especially enjoyed going and felt comfortable every time he went. The staff was always friendly, quick to respond to any questions or help with scheduling. I have struggled however with being made to feel like a bad parent over cavities, and felt pressured into my children having costly anesthesia. While some attempt was made for my son including using gas first, we were pushed straight to anesthesia for my daughter. There is no written communication following a major procedure either to allow anxious parents the ability to better understanding of what was done especially if it was different from the origina

We had such a great experience here! The dentist was patient and really took the time to make my son feel comfortable. The whole team made it fun, and they worked quickly without ever making us feel rushed. Highly recommend for families looking for a dentist who makes kids feel at ease while getting excellent care!
