Utica Pediatrics

My child was dropped by this practice for a missed payment of $34.50. I received a very nasty phone call from the billing department stating I owed them this fee. I told them I was unaware of this charge she was so rude and nasty. It was a charge for a Covid swab that I was unaware of at the time. They don’t tell you it’s an extra fee when they do it. At some point all three of my children went there .truthfully I only stayed with them because of the same day sick visits. Dr. Shannan is not likable always rushed and gives same diagnoses at every visit. It’s embarrassing that they allow a small fee of $34.50 to disrupt my child’s medical. They probably did me a favor.

Dr Griffith and this office do not cate about their patients. After 21 years as patients our kids were dropped because an insurance change ! They care about money not your kids ! Ask about the HPV vaccine controversy and Dr Griffith will act like ot doesn’t exist !

They are very accommodating in getting kids in for sick visits. Haven't had a bad provider yet. We've been going there 19 years. I recommend them.

We were kicked out of this office for being honest. This office never communicates with parents or patients and makes continuous mistakes. They never call back and refuse to work with you. They just expect you to inconvenience yourself to make up for their incompetence. They schedule appointments a year in advance, then call you the week before because the "provider", not doctor, but "provider", is not available. Then why make the appointments do far ahead?!? When our son was having seizures, they wanted us to wait 4 months to get us into a specialist and we were told "that's what you get for being in a rural area." Seriously!!! I love Dr. Henderson, he is the sole reason I stay at this practice. He is amazing and answers all of my questions, concerns and is never dismissive. Unfortunately I give the ancillary staff a lower rating. His front staff have been rude on multiple occasions and act as if you are bothering them. We have had multiple nurses be unwelcoming and less than understanding when a young child is nervous and having difficulty cooperating. This is a pediatricians office that deals with children. I would think being kind and patient are priority qualities for staff. If these qualities are important to you when you are looking for a practice I would look else where.
