Urgent Care | Kaiser Permanente Cascade Park

My son has been a horrible pain for over a week and living on Iboprofren! He has a high pain threshold but to get a 20 year old to go to the Dr is very hard so finally he went to urgent care. Anyways the Dr just cleared it out and said come back tomorrow to urgent care and maybe the inflammation will go down. My son spent another night in pain and has to go in again today and pay another $50 copay. Unbelievable! And no, he didn’t have a fever my kids never do with an ear infection! I shouldn’t have to hold his hand while he goes to the Dr! I am not big on Antibiotics myself but in some cases it’s important!

We were there a very short time before being called by the nurse. She was very pleasant and worked fast get to the necessary information. Probably 10 minutes later the doctor arrived. He was great. Looked at my foot, determined my need, ordered medication and sent me home. I must say he did a through check and I was impressed with him.

I’ve had mixed experiences at this hospital, most of the time they’re amazing and very professional. It’s an incredibly long wait. It’s now been 6 hours since I originally checked in and I’m still not done waiting.

Its as good as urgent care will get. I have visited here multiple times for urgent care needs. Everyone is always nice. Due to them having to triage (which should be expected), there may be a wait for less emergent/urgent patients. But they are good at letting you know that. I came in with my baby a few times for ear infections. I was informed that there will be approximately a couple hours wait before he is seen. They have a system that they text your phone when they want you to get back to the clinic, usually about 30 - 45 minutes before they see you. This allows me to run errands or even wait at home and not have to wait in the waiting room with a cranky baby. No complaints.

Only 1 local option for entire Clark county, urgent care is walk in only with over 4 hr wait. Unable to get any same day appointments with PCP. Not a great system for urgent wound infection needs.
