Urgent Care at Slocum-Dickson

I love Slocum-Dickson Urgent Care! They are my go to every time! I have a severe medical condition and they have "saved" me time and again. The medical staff, nurses and doctors are all excellent! They listen and truly care. The expertise, caring, and professionalism is STELLAR! Thanks so much. You make the difference between me laying on the couch in agony to actually being able to get up and go in to work! Thanks for your compassionate care. I never have a long wait either! It's wonderful to have such a trusted and awesome urgent care in this area.

Scheduled an appointment for my daughter and got a message to check in at kiosk. After fighting with it for a while it never let me check in it just shows 2 other peoples names. After getting checked in and waiting in waiting room I proceeded to watch people after me experience the same issues with the kiosk. The one lady that got it to work then gave the receptionist a hard time about checking in because they had already used the kiosk. I don’t understand the point of checking in twice. Other than that our visit was well and the lady doctor who treated us was very kind.

I really shouldn't give this like of a review, everyone but Dr Alenia was great. I had a temp of 102 my throat was red and swollen. Because the rapid test for strep came back negative he only gave me prednisone which he failed to call into my pharmacy. I had to call and get the prescription sent which I never got until the next day. Of course my throat was getting worse with no help. I tried gargling with salt water and throat teas could eat anything and lost 6 pounds in 3 days. I feel if the strep test came back negative he should have checked into more possible causes or at the very least gave me an antibiotic with a 102 temp there was obviously some sort of infection or maybe even call prednisone script so I could have started it right away. I was nervous coming here with all the low reviews, but I had a good experience at Urgent Care today. The wait was similar to any other urgent care I've been to. The people were perfectly kind and understanding, and the doc seemed to know his stuff. Got me what I needed in the short term as well as an appointment with a specialist in just a couple of weeks.

All of the nurses are so nice, and all of the providers are very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. Dr. Alinea is a fantastic doctor and a remarkable human being. Thank you to all the staff for what you do.
