When for help in removal of a port wine stain birthmark which requires V-Beam laser. I had a few appointments and got scheduled for the procedure. I then get a call saying they don’t actually have the right laser and basically told me to go away. So I been getting wonderful treatment from North Central UPMC to use the same laser (machine is portable and rented 1 day/month). Its extremely worth driving 2 hours for doctors who know what they are talking about
Don't come here. "Legal liability..." I was explicitly informed by the Director of Plastic Surgery at UPMC Central PA that I would not be accepted as a patient for breast reconstruction care following breast cancer. During this conversation, I was repeatedly referred to as a “legal liability” and told that I was expected to return to my previous surgeon for continued surgeries. This was deeply concerning, as that surgeon had previously discontinued my care during the pandemic, patient abandonment, leaving me with long-term surgical drains that were overdue for removal and that I ultimately had to remove myself. I do not believe it is appropriate to require a patient to return to a provider they no longer trust or who they feel abandoned their care. I was also directed to continue care at
I came to this office years ago after my first breast reduction surgery to seek a second opinion. At that time, a different surgeon here turned me away, telling me that “surgeons aren’t supposed to step on other surgeons’ toes.” I found that very discouraging, but I decided to give this office another chance today to explore possible non-surgical options for the complications I’ve been dealing with since my original surgery and revision (done elsewhere). Unfortunately, I left with the same feeling I had years ago: dismissed, neglected, and not cared for. My concerns weren’t taken seriously, and the overall approach lacked empathy and understanding. After two attempts, I’ve decided I won’t be coming back. Plastic surgery is already an overwhelming and vulnerable process, and I hoped this
I have had a doctors office make me feel as unimportant as their staff did. When I scheduled the appointment it was pleasant right up until I was at the appointment. While the practitioner was nice, she was hesitant to submit a claim to my insurance . After discussing with the doctor to just see what happens and submit the claim- it did end up being denied. I called my insurance and they gave me instructions on a peer to peer that a doctor could advocate on my behalf. I called the surgery scheduler with this information, left a voicemail- never returned my call. I sent her a message - no returned response after two tries. I then contracted the practitioner and was told they are working on scheduling the peer to peer and will give me an update. After two weeks on no response I called the of
Dr. D'Agostino and her team from her office to the surgery center were amazing. I’m very happy with my results. She gave me exactly what I wanted and more. She is very honest about what she can do for you. So if you decide to see her be open to her opinions. She wants what’s best for her patients and will deliver in a safe manner. Dr. D 'Agostino truly has a gift. I was in good hands. Thank you, Virginia L.
