UPMC Outpatient Center

Got there when they opened for bloodwork and waited 1.5 hours for only two people to get called back. Ended up having to cancel because they expect people to have hours on end to wait. Between this experience, the way UPMC treats their staff, the attitude of the staff they still have, their fairly degrading customer service, and questionable billing practices, I genuinely don’t know how UPMC is a company at all anymore.

I don’t even know how this place is still open. The staff is extremely rude and uncaring. I’m sick and have been feeling like I’m dying for about 2 months and I come in for my 3:15 appointment and they tell me it was at 3:00 mind you it was about 3:07 when I walked in and they said the doctor can’t take me and tried to reschedule for NEXT WEEK. Patient first here I come because they treat me like priority.

Charged me $500.00 to talk to a doctor for 15 minutes. Got nothing out of it. Was referred here due to my asthma issues, they wanted me to have a bunch of expensive tests done, but refused to treat me past an emergency inhaler. Thanks for nothing, UPMC. No wonder Penn State Health is better than you guys. Forgot to mention: Don't let them do the breathing test. Breathed through a tube for 100 bucks to tell me I'm "fine."

I have to jump through a million hoops just to get a prescription Dr kanugati is the worst Dr I have ever met she sent a prescription to the pharmacy but I can't even get it because she refuses to send pre-authorization to my insurance and I can't afford to pay for it out of pocket. HORRIBLE!

One staff at 7:00 in the morning doesn’t work when a line of working people need blood drawn. Checkin needs to be faster.
