I run HR for a small (175) employee company. I used to recommend Lagniappe to anyone who would listen. Now I actively steer people away from Unity. The loss of key personnel, the limited days each office is open, and continued problems with scheduling and billing make it impossible to recommend. I actually like Dr. Patel, but I don't know how long I can continue to go there with nothing else working right. Most recent example: they required me to change appointment days due to the reduced schedule, but then failed to book the second appointment. When I showed up, I was just marked canceled from the original appointment. I had to wait to be worked in, then the poor Labcorps worker had no orders on me. She then received orders that included tests I don't normally get but that my wife
Repeatedly have left messages for via phone, portal and in person for the office manager to get in touch with me. Finally get a message via the portal from the office manager saying she never got my messages and that I need to let her know what I want to talk to her about, then she'll try calling me when she's available. That was over a month ago, no response what so ever. This is creates a huge issue with continuity of care. I simply don't understand how they can conduct themselves in this way and not get in trouble for it. I'm so sad that the office I used to love and recommend to everyone has gone to complete poop with no response and no care for the patient.
In regards to a Rx refill request to be sent to a specific pharmacy, they obviously did not pull my medical chart to see that I’ve been on a 90 day Rx. Had they pulled that medical chart, they would have seen that I came in for an annual physical in 11/2020. I was told by Christina that they can’t refill that Rx until I call and make an appt. with a physician. What kind of racket are they playing with? I called and like all other times, they don’t pick up and you have to leave a message- God help you if there is an emergency! I asked them to call back- they didn’t. They only message through their portal. Later, while I’m still waiting for a call back that never happened, I messaged that the Rx was sent to another pharmacy other than the “requested” pharmacy in the original message! St
I have truly never dealt with such chaos at a Drs office in my life and I'm 50 yrs old. Went in for my 3 month wellness visit over a month ago and had to see yet another new Dr/PA? Shauna Keys. I'm self pay and had to actually pay $200 cash before I could even go back? I knew something was odd and now I truly wished I had just left. She had all the personality of a rock. A whole 10 minutes later I'm dumbfounded as I'm at the front desk asking about my next visit and she was stumbling over what to say? I leave only to get in my truck and sit there thinking WHAT WAS THAT? I leave and may be a block up the road Christina calls to tell me I can no longer be a patiet there???? If it were possible to give an establishment negative stars Unity Medical would receive them because they certainly earned them. Since the transition from Langniappe Medical to the current provider it is mindboggling at such a lack of competency. Waiting for more than and hour to be seen by a physician and more than 20 minutes to be seen by anyone in their support staff. I was given an ekg where I had to disrobe from the waist up for a physical. I was never given anything to cover myself up with. The support staff for Dr.Patel (Rita) kept going in and out of the room leaving me completely exposed to anyone passing by. I asked for covering and was told "I'd be done in a second." The staff member incorrectly performed an EKG on me resulting in me having an unnecessary stress test and accumul
