UNC Urgent Care at Holly Springs

I’ve been living in Holly Springs since 2016 and when the hospital and urgent care opened in here, I’ve been a consistent patient at this location. Up until this review I was very pleased with our visits however, this past Thursday, there was a distinct change that I needed to bring to their attention. The nurse practitioner was rude and under the guise of efficiency, the meeting felt unnecessarily rushed. My two children and I needed to be tested for Covid due to a teacher of one of my children testing positive. The nurse practitioner called out our medical history without making any attempts to help her assistant with gathering bp or temperatures. She advised her assistant to not take make daughters temperature and I had to insist that she should and will since we are there for Covid tes

My nurse and PA were not kind or diligent. (The ladies at the front desk were very sweet and the only good part of the experience) I was their first patient at 8:00am on a Sunday morning, so I wasn't expecting them to be full of excitement, but I didn't even get a "hi, how are you?" The nurse told me to take a seat then rudely corrected me saying "No, not that one" when I started to sit in the exam chair. Sorry I didn't realize the patient was supposed to sit in the visitor chair? Idk, that was weird. I guess they don't want to waste paper? The nurse barely spoke besides asking me the required questions, which the PA later reiterated. I told them I've had a sore throat for almost 2 weeks that isn't letting up. These guys are the worst! Nobody in here and acted like a huge intrusion. Unwilling to treat 5 year old with UTI...shame on you!

I was bleeding heavily and needed treatment asap on a Saturday afternoon and they were fantastic!!! I considered the ER next door but pulled into the urgent care bc it didn't appear very busy. After a very short check-in and wait time I was tended to and fixed up. The nurse and Nurse Practioner were both very efficient, courteous and professional. My only issue was the app was showing a long wait and trying to direct me to a less crowded facility far away. The info on the app was not correct and I realize the facilities have no control over that.

My family has been seen here several times and we have always been pleased with the care we have received. I came in today and once again had a great experience. Nicole, who checked me in at the front desk, was very sweet and personable. The nurse who first saw me, Beth, was also very kind and friendly. While gathering my information she took the time to listen and ask questions and made sure that she had everything she needed. I was then seen by the PA, Dwain. He was extremely compassionate and understanding. He was very thorough and took time to explain my diagnosis and to answer all of my questions.
