I scheduled a visit for a specific, simple test and clearly communicated this pre-visit (a week before my appointment), at check-in, and at the very start of the encounter. The requested test was not performed. Instead, multiple labs were ordered despite my explicit refusal. I was told I would receive a call with results, especially given the time-sensitive nature, but had to follow up repeatedly after waiting nearly two weeks. When I raised concerns, I was told this “could happen to anyone” and that it was “nobody’s fault.” While mistakes can occur, acknowledgment and accountability matter. I had a very dissatisfying experience with this doctor’s office. It felt unprofessional and poorly managed from start to finish. I went in for a routine annual physical. Despite confirming with my insurance beforehand that I should not owe a copay, I was charged one anyway. When I later called to request a refund, the receptionist directed me to email an address that turned out to be nonexistent.
