UI Health Care - Urgent Care

I would give zero stars if I could. A family member went to this urgent care and the PA couldn't even take the time to listen to what was wrong before telling them they were fine. If you aren't even going to listen to what is wrong, why are you in this profession? Horrible experience.

Every time I have come here there is always over an hour wait. This time I came for my son (7 months old) he has a high fever and not acting his normal self we didn’t know if it was teething or a cold. So I called and asked to be put on the wait and the woman on the phone said “it’s a walk in clinic you can just walk in” so when we got there at 1:00pm they said we wouldn’t be seen until 2:20ish then it turned into 2:30 then 2:45 then 2:50 and when we finally got called it was already 3:00pm! She takes us back and we’re still waiting for the doctor and she tells us that “there’s nothing concerning and that he’s either teething or sick” which we already knew but we went for an answer! But then tells us that the testing it to expensive and it would only be for our knowledge since most things

I was treated with kindness from the moment I walked up to the front desk!! I had a terrible experience at the Cedar Rapids location 2 days ago so I was quite anxious walking into this location this evening. However, talking to the staff here was like a breath of fresh air. The front desk lady greeted me with a smile and was a delight to chat with. The nurse immediately took my concerns seriously and made sure that I could pick up my prescription from a 24/7 pharmacy so that I could take my first antibiotic tonight. The doctor also validated my symptoms and worries and even told me “thank you for coming back in” when I mentioned that my symptoms had not gotten any better in the last 48 hours. I will recommend this place to anybody who wants to be treated with respect and compassion while r

(ZERO STARS )Horrible place would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE. I went in to get X-rays for my hand they took like 2 hours. came back and told me there was nothing wrong with my hand. I went into the ER the next day and they told me my hand was broken. Urgent care just didn’t care and they may need some more detailed training over there.

I came to the clinic 3 times in as many weeks for a UTI. Saw 3 different providers. The first 2 were okay, and prescribed 2 different antibiotics, neither of which worked. My third visit was with a young woman named Anna, 3 days before Christmas. Whereas the other providers did their jobs, Anna went above & beyond. I was in pain and Anna kept me waiting a long time, but that was because she was researching ways to help me. She sent me home with another prescription. But when I got home Anna phoned me. She had actually consulted with the Urology Dept. at the Hospital, who suggested another form of treatment. 24 hours later the pain I’d had for weeks was almost completely gone. I can’t say enough about Anna and I’m so appreciative of how she went the extra mile for me! She was the best!!
