I haven’t even arrived at my first appointment and this place has a LOT to prove to me. My PCP sent a referral to genetics because I have several complicated genetic conditions in my family. So I was lucky enough to receive a call from this office last week. They immediately told me they would not be able to schedule me an appointment as they do not see people who do direct-to-consumer testing. I asked what that had to do with my appointment, as I was asking for them to do their testing. I was transferred to genetic counselor Kayla. Kayla repeated without hesitation that they do not see people who have done direct-to-consumer testing. So I asked her “Where do people who have genetic conditions go who have been symptomatic? I love UCONN Health in Avon. It is a smaller location that makes it easy to get to, parking is easy and free, and everyone in the office is very friendly. I have been a patient of Dr. Sathe for ten years and I always pick this Avon location to go to when I have to see him because it is cozy and just way easier to get to. Dr. Sathe, his medical technicians, the nurses, the office staff are all amazing people. They have all been working for him since I started seeing him ten years ago, which tells you something, that he’s a good boss! I highly recommend UCONN and I recommend UCONN over Hartford or St. Francis as you are treated as a name, not a number! Thank you, UCONN Avon for keeping up the great work! I will always recommend you guys!

Always had a good experience at Uconn Health in Avon CT. Facilities are nice, parking is easy and the orthopedic doctors are very skilled. The support staff is also very courteous and helpful.
