A Disappointing Experience with UCLA Health and Dr. Viraat M. Patel In April 2024, I had the displeasure of visiting Dr. Viraat M. Patel's office at UCLA Health for what should have been a routine skin check-up. Little did I know that this visit would turn into a nightmare of overcharging and poor communication. Firstly, the examination lasted less than five minutes, as I expected, given that I have generally healthy skin with no specific concerns. However, what followed two weeks later left me utterly shocked and appalled. I received a bill from UCLA Health totaling a whopping $1085 for this simple check-up.
