Do NOT go to Dr. Shillingsford. Worst bedside manner (and this is coming from a health care provider) who was judgmental and dismissive from the moment she entered the exam room and could not even complete a simple request of sending medication to the correct pharmacy. After waiting for over an hour to get my prescription for antibiotics, it turns out she sent it to the wrong pharmacy after not sending prescription at all until I called the engagement center twice to check in on the status, after the local pharmacy near the clinic said they had not received a prescription. I will never come back to this practice again. The Front Desk lady was awesome and was very helpful though.

I’ve been coming here since July 2025, it’s now January 2026 and I’ve had enough. After being a patient at DPC South Durham for many years, I was truly unhappy with the level of care I was getting year after year from my provider there. I was in search of a black female provider and found one here at TFP, by human error and mishap I was able to become a patient of hers. Now, I feel like this has been a mistake. Anytime I send a mychart message about something, I get a message back from the doctors nurse to schedule an appointment. Even for filling out FMLA paperwork, extensions, and the return to work. In my opinion, that is about money. I checked my insurance explanation of benefits summary and one telehealth visit is $300. I scheduled an appt Dec.16th in person to discuss the FMLA extens

I've been a patient at this location for over 10 years. I love my doctor. He is always kind and honest. The few times I've had to use other doctors. They have been wonderful as well. There's an on-site lab so there's no need to go anywhere else for blood work. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a doctor to try this location. What's up?

I’ve come to the conclusion that this place is not the right fit for me if you’re looking for a physician who truly listens. I’ve felt dismissed multiple times after sharing my health concerns and was told there was nothing they could do. At one point, I was even advised against something as basic as washing my hands, which I found completely unreasonable. My experiences with Dr. Paige, in particular, were the most concerning. I often left appointments with an uneasy feeling. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this office. Save yourself the time and money.

I was not happy with the doctor that my daughter had today. She shut me out when I tried to discuss my daughter's health and assist with answers. Even though my daughter is 19, she is still considered dependent and is not able to manage or express her medical concerns solely. I think the doctor needs to know that some teens need their parents more than others and that some parents can be helpful. We are a team and today, I didn't feel as if we were.
